Hi guys, I'm curious, what's your interpretation on the 70 weeks of Daniel 9? Do you treat it as one connected period of time leading up to Jesus first coming or do you treat the last week as detached and basically leading ti Jesus' second coming? Thank you!

Interpretation I Consider Contextually Consistent:

I lean toward the historical-messianic interpretation (the first view), which holds that:

The 70 weeks are a continuous period, beginning with the decree to rebuild Jerusalem and culminating in the coming and crucifixion of Jesus, followed by the judgment upon Jerusalem.

The phrase “the Anointed One will be cut off and will have nothing” refers to the death of Jesus.

The 70th week has already been fulfilled in the ministry of Jesus and the early church era.

This aligns with the main message of the book of Daniel: God is sovereign over history, and His plan of salvation is fulfilled through the Messiah.
